Attention Area Residents:

The Pico-Robertson area is experiencing an increase in Robberies. These crimes are occurring during the late evening hours, usually between 10pm-3am.(SEE CHART BELOW). The suspects approach victims (sometimes brandish a knife) and demand money.

The best protection is to be alert and cautious at all times. Avoid walking at night, especially in dangerous or unfamiliar neighborhoods. If you must go out at night:

  • Walk on well-lighted main thoroughfares.
  • Walk next to the curb, and stay away from buildings, alleys, doorways, shrubbery, trees and benches.
  • If approached, citizens are advised not to resist the suspect.

The Los Angeles Police Department is making every effort to combat this problem. Since Community Awareness is the key to prevention, we need your assistance.

If you observe suspicious activity, contact the Police Department immediately by calling 911 (EMERGENCY) OR 877-ASK-LAPD (877-275-52730 non emergency).

If you observe suspicious activity, obtain a description of the suspects’ physical appearance, actions and any vehicle descriptions (including license plate numbers).

DO NOT CONFRONT SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUALS.
